In this section you will learn:
The Post-Mortem Activity screen is used to show how animal remains are handled within the organization and helps track information like who performed the task and when it was performed.
Step 1 - Begin by selecting the animal by using the search tool. After the animal has been selected, click on New Activity.

Step 2 - Fill in all required fields and optional fields as displayed below. Click Submit when done.

Activity Type: This field is controlled in Add/Edit Field Values. Some examples of Activities would be Burial and Cremation.
Activity SubType: This field is also controlled in Add/Edit Field Values. It can be used to further classify the Activity Type, but it is not a required field to submit the Post-Mortem Activity.
Performed By: It is important to keep track of who performs these tasks. Anyone with the Employee association will appear in this dropdown.
Status: This field is important because you can keep track of how this activity is progressing. In some cases you will need to enter it in as Pending, since it hasn't happened yet. Then once the activity is done, you can go back into this screen, select the Activity from the grid and change the status to completed. It is a lot like change an animal’s stage or location as the animal goes through the organizational processes.
Person ID: Use the Find button to locate or create a person record to associate with the Activity.
Comments: In the Comments section, you may write a free-form note to submit with that Activity.
Follow Up Date/Time: This field allows you to fill in a Follow Up Date/Time to remind users when follow up is needed.
Completed Date/Time: This
field is used to record when the Activity has been completed. Completed
By will automatically record who is logged in at the time the Completed
Date/Time is filled out.
Step 3 - When successful the system will display a message of: Post-Mortem Activity data saved.

On the Reports Website, the reports associated with the data entered in Care Post-Mortem Activity are:
Postmortem Activity - This report shows Postmortem activities, and can be narrowed down by a follow-up date range.
Postmortem History - This report also shows Postmortem activities, but is narrowed down by the completed date within a range of dates.
Postmortem: History Age-Species Crosstab - This report compares numbers to one another. For example, comparing types of animals with the types of postmortem activities.
Postmortem History Extended - This report is a Postmortem History report that includes all of the person information (address, phone number, etc).
